Who We Are

We are a third-generation family business, founded in 1945, which retains family values at its core and treats every brand as its own.

We bring brands and customers together - using our sales, marketing and logistics expertise to deliver sustainable growth in the UK market.

Our History

We were founded in 1945 by Raoul Amar who originally set up RH Amar as a distributor of French foods. Based in High Holborn, RH Amar widened activity to include products from many countries. It entered the fine food sector when it became the exclusive distributor for Crespo olives – who remain a brand partner to this day.

Today, our business is headed up by Henry’s eldest son, Rob Amar, who joined the business in 2001 – taking it into its third generation. Rob is supported by his brother, James Amar, who is RH Amar’s Strategy & CSR Director.

Our Portfolio

Our portfolio includes some of the UK’s best-loved food brands such as Crespo, Del Monte, Ella’s Kitchen, Kikkoman, and Mutti, alongside smaller specialist brands.

We also have four of our own brands – Camp Coffee, Cooks&Co, Mary Berry’s and The Original Waffle Company – and a thriving private label business.
